A Chance Encounter with the Governor of AZ

by KJ Kaufman on May.08, 2010, under Editorial

I want to begin by letting the readers know that I did not hold much respect for Governor Brewer prior to AZ SB 1070 passing and subsequently being signed by the Governor.  After SB 1070 passed, Governor Brewer made the rounds of several cable news network talk shows, and I happened to catch her interview with Greta Van Susteren.  After watching this interview, my opinion of Governor Brewer changed, and I respected how well she represented her position and the position of our state with respect to illegal immigration.

Let Me Help You Dumb Liberals with SB1070

by KJ Kaufman on May.06, 2010, under Editorial

The one thing that has annoyed me more than most things in the past couple of weeks is the absolute dishonesty in discussing Arizona’s new immigration legislation known as Arizona SB1070.  Here is what I want everyone to understand very clearly:  SB1070 AMMENDS three existing Arizona revised statutes.  For you wizards of smart on the left, that means there are three existing revised statutes already on the books and this legislation adds additional text to those revised statutes.  Therefore, I’m going to copy and paste just the additional text that is added to the existing revised statutes.  You can read just what was added by this bill, and then let us know where you find racial profiling, civil rights abuses, Nazism, and all of the other pejoratives you’ve been spewing for weeks.  If you are smart enough to read the whole bill and determine (because the text is in blue) the actual amended text to the revised statutes, then feel free to read the whole bill SB1070 so that you can see the amendments in context with the revised statutes they amend.  For the rest of you dummies who aren’t capable of doing that, then here is the actual text of the amendments and the only additions to existing law that SB1070 makes.

Will You Stand Your Ground When the Man Comes Around?

by KJ Kaufman on Mar.27, 2010, under Editorial

In times of tumult and uncertainty, there are those who prey on the weak of spirit to convince them to follow a supposedly easy solution to their troubles.  Don’t be fooled by the man bearing gifts for the easy way out of your predicament is almost never the truth or the lightening of your burden that you seek.  When you are at your lowest point, will you seek the truth, will you know the truth, or will you remain on your knees begging to your newfound master?  Will you stand up and stand your ground?
